Northwest companies have announced a host of top hires and promotions over the past week.
Companies like fashion giants and law firms have made big strides.

Manchester-based business change and transformation consultancy Partners in Change has hired Priya Murphy as Head of People.
She is a fully certified HR practitioner with over 15 years of experience in the public and private healthcare sector.

Buttress Deputy Director Chithra Marsh will take on the role of National Chair of Women in Property from March.
She will be joined by fellow Buttress fellow Gwenno Jones, who will take the reins as chair of the North West branch.
Established in 1988, Buttress has offices in Manchester and Leeds operating in the heritage, arts and culture, residential, commercial, hotels and leisure and education sectors.
MIDAS
Joe Manning has been appointed Managing Director of MIDAS, Manchester’s Inward Investment Agency.
He joins the company from his previous position as Associate General Manager at Cheshire and Warrington Local Enterprise Partnership and was previously Associate Director of Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy.
Mr. Manning said, “I am delighted to be taking on this role at MIDAS. Foreign direct investment is playing a key role in creating a greener, fairer and more prosperous Greater Manchester area and it is great to see the strong investment offer from the metropolitan area being recognised.
“I look forward to working with our partners in the public and private sectors to execute our internationalization strategy and continue this important work.”
Harrison Drury
Northwest law firm Harrison Drury has expanded its work and human resources team with the appointment of Attorney Katy Parkinson.
Joining the firm as a Senior Associate Solicitor, Katy has 15 years’ experience in the legal sector and joins the CG Professional team in Chorley.
She will advise clients across the region on all employment law matters and provide strategic advice to clients on major projects such as corporate reorganizations and restructurings.
Katy will also support the firm’s corporate team by advising management teams and business owners on the labor law aspects of corporate sales, mergers and acquisitions.

Manchester-based tech company DeliveryApp has appointed a new Operations Director.
Phil Woodbridge, who previously held a senior operations position at Parcel2Go, will help develop the offering around the technology for DeliveryApp’s customers and drivers.
He said, “What DeliveryApp is building is the future of logistics.”
Next Digital
Macclesfield-based agency Nexer Digital has appointed a new account director.
Jo Dunning joins to support the company in its plans to increase its work in the charity sector.
She said: “Nexer Digital was the perfect move for me. I was looking for a new challenge but still wanted to work in Pro Social/Tech for Good, which is where most of my experience is.”
Curtins
Curtins Engineering has appointed Andy Macfarlane to its board of directors, with overall responsibility for civil and structural engineering at its Liverpool and Birmingham offices.
Mr. Macfarlane joined the Curtins team in 2002 with an engineering degree and over the past 20 years has grown to become a business unit leader in the Liverpool office whilst also supporting the Birmingham team.
He said, “Since my first day at university, Curtins has supported and guided me in developing my career. I’ve had the opportunity to work as part of teams delivering many exciting and challenging projects across the country and a platform to impact change in our evolving industry.”

Rossendale-based Driver Group has appointed Shaun Smith as its new non-executive chairman.
Mr Smith will take up his role on March 23, following the retirement of current Driver Chairman Steven Norris after eight years in the role.
He is currently a Non-Executive Director of Epwin Group and INSPECS Group.
Mr Smith said: “I have for some time followed the fortunes of Driver Group, a successful global leader in providing quality appraisal, claims and dispute resolution services to clients around the world.”
N Brown
N Brown Group has appointed Dominic Appleton as its new Chief Financial Officer, succeeding Rachel Izzard.
Mr. Appleton spent 10 years with The Very Group, most recently as Group Finance Director.
He previously held CFO positions at online bathroom retailer VictoriaPlum.com and shoe brand Hotter Shoes.
N Brown is headquartered in Manchester and its brands include JD Williams and Simply Be.
growth company
The Growth Company has appointed a new chairman.
Mike Blackburn OBE, current Growth Company board member and former Chairman of Greater Manchester’s Local Enterprise Partnership (GMLEP), will assume this role from the end of March.
Mr Blackburn has spent his 36 year career in the private sector working for technology companies including 25 years at BT.
He said: “I am delighted to take on the role of Chairman of the growth company. The company has had many fantastic achievements over the past few years and has been instrumental in supporting businesses and individuals during and after the pandemic.”
Manchester Law Society
Nick Johnson, senior partner at Manchester-based law firm Glaisyers ETL, has been elected President of the Manchester Law Society.
He succeeds Paul Johnson, Corporate Partner at Ward Hadaway.
Mr Johnson, a commercial disputes specialist, began his career at Manchester law firm Goldstone Casket and Eva which merged with Glaisyers in 1993. Until 2018 he was managing partner of Glaisyers.
Mr Johnson said: “I am honored to have been elected President of the Manchester Law Society, an organization with a proud history dating back almost two centuries. After 40 years in the legal profession, I am very excited to take this opportunity to return to the profession.”
CMAC group
CMAC Group, a Lancashire-based specialist in managed ground transportation and accommodation, has promoted Dave Rose to Director of Supply and Procurement.
Mr. Rose joined CMAC in January 2022 as Corporate Director to drive the company’s international expansion.
Chief Operating Officer Neil Micklethwaite said: “Dave’s promotion is part of our commitment to build on the fantastic success we had in 2022 and plan for the future by investing in our people in some key areas of the business.”
