NBA DraftKings Picks 2/14: Best NBA DFS lineup advice for Tuesday’s daily fantasy basketball tournaments

We have a small five game NBA DFS main table Tuesday night including a double header on TNT. It begins with a highly anticipated matchup between the Celtics and Bucks at 7:30 p.m. ET, followed by Klay Thompson and the Warriors taking on Paul George, Kawhi Leonard and the Clippers at 10:00 p.m. ET. Our DraftKings lineup has a good mix of veterans and sleepers with multiple values under $6,000, which are the kind of low-risk, high-reward options that are key in daily fantasy basketball tournaments.

Before we break down all of our picks, here are the most notable scoring rules for DraftKings competitions: Three-point shot made (+0.5 points), recoil (+1.25 points), supports (+1.5 points), steals and blocks (+2 points), double-double (+1.5 points – maximum one per player) and triple-double (+3 points – maximum one player).

Tuesday Night’s NBA DraftKings Picks: NBA DFS lineup for GPP tournaments

Tuesday night main issue, budget $50,000

PG De’Aaron Fox, Kings @ Suns ($9,100). The 25-year-old point guard was on fire this month, averaging 50.5 DraftKings points per game (five games). Fox had an impressive two-game streak against the Mavericks last weekend, where he had 49 and 50.5 DraftKings points. The first-time All-Star point guard will look to carry that momentum into tonight’s matchup against the Suns, who award the fourth lowest DraftKings points per game (46.06) to PGs this season. However, that won’t stop DFS players from adding Fox to our lineup, who will face off against veteran point guard Chris Paul, who has a 112 Defensive Rating (DRtg). If the Suns are trying to take Sabonis out of the offensive game plan, the Kings need Fox to be that guy on offense.

SG Bradley Beal, Wizards @ Trail Blazers ($8,000). Beal is another player who has gone haywire and needs to be in your DFS lineup every night. The veteran two-guard has 40 or more DK points in five straight games and averages 44.9 DraftKings points per game. In Monday night’s nine-point loss to the Warriors, Beal had 33 points (13-23 FG, 3-8 3pt), four assists and three rebounds in 35 minutes (44.3 DK points). The 29-year-old shooting guard faces the Blazers tonight, whom he played in Washington DC earlier this month. In that game, Beal had 34 points (14-25 FG, 4-10), three rebounds and one assist (40.8). The Wizards will need the former first-round pick to bring their A-game as Damian Lillard scored 40 points (13-23 FG, 8-14 3pt) against the Lakers last night.

SF Scottie Barnes, Raptors vs. Magic ($7,400). The sophomore forward has an excellent matchup against the Magit tonight. Orlando awards the fifth most DraftKings points per game (43.6) to SFs this season and second most total points to position. Barnes has hit double digits in nine straight games, averaging 35.8 DraftKings points per game over that span. We also like Barnes for his versatility for tonight’s list, as individual DFS players can field him on the PF spot as well.

PF Andrew Wiggins, Warrior @ Clippers ($6,700). Without Stephen Curry in the starting lineup, Golden State needs Wiggins as a factor on offense until the all-star point guard returns. The 27-year-old veteran forward had 29 points, seven rebounds and four assists (45.3 DraftKings points) in Monday’s win against the Wizards. The last time Wiggins scored at least 40 DraftKings points was on January 19 against the Celtics, where he had 20 points, four rebounds and three assists (40 DK points). Wiggins should be happy tonight against the Clippers’ defense, who award the fourth most DraftKings points per game to PFs (48.75) this season.

TO UPDATE: With Wiggins ruled out, the best way to fill the gap is to move Barnes to PF and then throw Franz Wagner ($5,800) to the SF spot. Wagner is averaging 26.2 DraftKings points per game in his last five games and has a good matchup against the Raptors, who award the ninth-highest DK points per game to SFs this season (41.31). When individual DFS players make these moves, they must spend $1,100 which can be used to upgrade the UTIL spot (Josh Okogie – $4,600).

C Daniel Gafford, Wizards @ Blazers ($5,500). The 24-year-old center is one of the few value plays we have in our lineup for today’s slate. Gafford isn’t a highly talented offensive center, but he still finds a way to make a difference. The Wizards big man played well in Monday night’s loss to the Warriors, recording nine points, eight rebounds and five assists (26 DraftKings points). Gafford has averaged 27.7 DK points per game in his last five games, which is higher than his season average (19.6 FPPG). The last time the young center faced Portland last month, he had nine points, six rebounds and three assists (23 DraftKings points).

G. Terance Mann, Clippers vs. Warriors ($4,300). The 26-year-old combo guard has 10+ points in four straight games and has averaged 25.2 DraftKings points per game over that span. After the Clippers moved Reggie Jackson at the close of trade last week, Mann will see many minutes at the point guard. The Warriors have battled PGs this season and conceded the fourth-highest DraftKings points per game (51.99). When it comes to Mann, we’re not expecting him to score 20 points tonight, but if he can have 15 points, five rebounds and a couple of assists, he’ll go a long way.

F.Donte DiVincenzo, Warriors @ Clippers ($5,100). DiVincenzo continues to find multiple opportunities to play for the Warriors this season. The former Villanova standout has scored double digits in five of his last six games. He put on an efficient 17-point performance (6-9 FG, 5-8 3 points) against the Wizards (27.8 DK points) on Monday night. DiVincenzo will be looking to score in double figures tonight against the Clippers, who award the second lowest DK points per game for SGs (39.30) and the fourth lowest points per game for SFs (39.13). It’s not the best matchup for the 26-year-old wing, but at a salary of $5,100 it’s too hard to pass up the potential value.

UTIL Shaedon Sharpe, Trail Blazers vs. Wizards ($3,700). To summarize our DFS lineup for today’s slate, we’ll go with the rookie who put on a sensational performance against the Lakers on Monday night. Sharpe had 15 points (6-10 FG, 3-5 3pt), five rebounds, four assists and three steals. He did a little bit of everything on the field, which helped him earn 34.8 DraftKings points. With the Blazers trading Josh Hart last week, the rookie will have an opportunity to produce off the bench and find a groove. Sharpe didn’t do much the last time the Blazers played the Wizards earlier this month (10.8 DK points), but that should change with more minutes available.
