Netherlands vs Portugal live: Women’s World Cup score, highlights, result from 2023 Group E match
The Netherlands, finalists of the 2019 World Cup, kick off the 2023 season when they take on their European compatriots and tournament debutants Portugal in Dunedin.
The Dutch are hoping to repeat their magical run to the final four years ago but are clearly weaker in attack without star striker Vivianne Miedema, who is injured.
They know they also need to win every game in the group to have any realistic shot at first place as they also have competitive favorites and the team that defeated them in the 2019 final, the United States, is also in their group.
While Portugal are still making their mark in women’s football, they have shown promise in recent times, including a 0-0 draw against European champions England in a pre-tournament warm-up game.
Sporting News follows live updates and highlights from Netherlands vs Portugal at World Cup 2023. Below are the full results of the Group E game in New Zealand.
