New spaces and amenities enhance fan experience at Children’s Mercy Park

Each season brings updates on everything that’s new, and that’s certainly the case in 2023.

When the doors of Children’s Mercy Park open on Saturday for the first time in 2023, fans will be treated to an enhanced experience thanks to new spaces and amenities throughout the world-class venue.

Below is a sneak peek at some of the upgrades with more changes to come throughout 2023 including the integration of Drink Command’s self-serve technology into the Budweiser Brew House and Huhtamaki Shield Club.

The UMB Field Club underwent a multi-million dollar off-season renovation and is the newest premier athletic field in the area. Ticket holders will enjoy a new hospitality buffet and bar, as well as improved access to post-match press conferences.

A new partnership with Huhtamaki as the club’s official sustainable packaging provider will result in new compost and recycling bins being placed throughout Children’s Mercy Park as the stadium prioritizes the use of compostable and recyclable products. This focus on the environment and sustainability is evident from the moment guests enter the Huhtamaki Shield Club with the installation of a striking living wall of dormant moss.

PRICE CHOPPER SOUTH STAND & PRICE CHOPPER MARKET

The newly branded Price Chopper South Grandstand will welcome fans to Sections 115-121, and the new Price Chopper Market — located just behind Section 118 — will offer grab-and-go food and beverages including salads, melts, wraps and sub-sandwiches.

STATE LINE BURGERS AND CONCESSIONS

Located behind Section 129, the stadium’s newest food stand offers a delicious menu of fan-favorite dishes, including the following items:

State Line Burger is joining the many concession stands throughout Children’s Mercy Park with updated menus in 2023. Click here for a list of items available at each location on game days, and the game’s concession offer for Saturday’s home opener is a hot dog and Coca-Cola product bundle for $8.

New for 2023, Sporting Kansas City players will walk through the Budweiser Brew House upon arrival at the stadium. BBH opens at 5:30pm on Saturday and is open to fan grandstand ticket holders and the first 500 season ticket members. The unique space now features a new 220” Daktronics LED wall with split-screen functionality installed above the bar.

Before kickoff, fans can enjoy 12 ounce Sporting Argyle Ales, 12 ounce Bud Lights or 24 ounce Coca-Cola products at the Budweiser Brew House for just $3 each. Prizes will be returned after the game as a Victory Special if Sporting wins and the Budweiser Brew House will open to all ticket holders after the final whistle with live music by The Crossroad Sound.
