What are Stanley Cups?

Coming in a rainbow of appealing pastel hues, these beverage jars have garnered quite a bit of buzz among influencers — so much so that the Stanley website has a 20-item limit on how many mugs you can order in response to Stanley hoarders and resellers. The viral version of the Stanley Cup is the 40-ounce model, likely because drinking two of them nearly meets the recommended daily water intake for women, taking the guesswork out of drinking enough water every day.
But first things first: Why are there 40-ounce Stanley cups that look identical for sale under two different names? There is the drinking cup Quencher H2.0 FlowState and the travel cup Adventure Quencher. The Stanley website only sells the Quencher H2.0 FlowState mug these days because it is the new and improved version of the Adventure Quencher travel mug. But you can still find the Adventure Quencher travel mug online, often at inflated prices.
What’s new at the Quencher H2.0 FlowState cup? Its improved lid has a rotating cover with three positions: “a straw opening that resists splashes while keeping the reusable straw in place, a drinking opening, and a fully covered top.”
