Overwatch 2: How To Change Crosshair

Believe it or not, that simple white dot in the middle of the screen isn’t permanent. Looking for a better crosshair? Players can choose their favorite!

One of the least discussed things among amateurs in surveillance 2 is the crosshairs. Each character gets one, even if it’s just a simple white dot in the middle of the screen. Units with recoil and range often gain additional layers of complexity with their default reticle.

But the pros are keen to discuss how to change the reticle surveillance 2. Although the function is the same, some players just swing better and have better accuracy with different types of crosshairs. Every player should at least know how to change the reticle and decide for themselves if the default reticle is for them.

Change Crosshair

  • Menu > Options > Controls > General > Crosshair

This change can be made right after selecting a hero or on the front screen. Open the menu, click Options, then go to the Controls tab. On the home page of this general tab, the reticle options are right there. Players are free to make simple design changes or advanced custom design decisions.

Skin designs can be disappointing or useless, but that affects gameplay. Playing around with these options in a practice match against bots or on the practice track is highly recommended. Trying to get things like opacity right in the middle of a game, even a casual game, will lead to disaster.

Default can still be preferred for most heroes. Keep in mind that a perfect Torbjorn reticle and a perfect Sojourn reticle should probably not look the same. Players should keep a specific character in mind when designing their crosshairs, and then be prepared to change it up if it doesn’t make sense for a different hero.

For some heroes, this change is more style than function. Ultimately, player preference is king. For others, like those who master Widowmaker, the choices are colossal. Too much fluff on the reticle and difficult to see specific detail over long distances. Not enough and players find it difficult to calculate bullet drop, aim distance and weapon movement.

surveillance 2 is now available for PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch.
