Actor Paul Mescal said in an interview published on Thursday that he was groped by a fan who wanted to take a picture with him ES Magazinewho has become the latest celebrity to speak out against inappropriate interactions with admirers in recent months.

Mescal said a fan recently asked him to take a picture with her outside a theater in London where he is appearing in the play End station longing.
As the pair posed for the photo, “the fan put her hand on my butt,” Mescal said, and as he got up from the chair he was sitting in, “the hand followed.”
Mescal said he told the fan, “Take your hand off my ass.”
The interaction was “actually not in order. It was so gross, scary,” he said.
While most of his interactions with his fans are “really nice,” Mescal said, “three percent is someone who grabs your ass.”

Mescal recently joins other stars in voicing their concerns about how fans are treating them.
