Murkrow debuted in the second generation Pokemon. However, there would not be any further development in the form of Honchkrow until the fourth generation. Currently, the Sun Stone is the only Evolution Stone in which it exists Pokemon GO. For Murkrow, whose evolutions debuted in the fourth generation, players will need an item called the Sinnoh Stone, as well as the required number of candies. How to catch Murkrow

Murkrow is Dark/Flying type, meaning it has a higher chance of spawning during foggy and windy Weather. There are also timed events and field research where Murkrow appears as an encounter. The easier and faster way to catch Murkrow is to look for him in the wild or do field research, but Murkrow has a chance to appear as a raid Pokémon in Gyms.

Although Murkrow’s escape rate isn’t too high, catching him with a regular Pokeball might not be easy. Try to get a nice, great, or excellent throw. Alternatively, use a Razz Berry to increase the chances of catching Murkrow. After catching Murkrow, players can check his rating and IVs. A 3-star Murkrow with a high Attack IV may be worth evolving against a 0/1/2-star Murkrow.

Obtain Murkrow’s evolution items

Murkrow evolves into Honchkrow with 100 Murkrow Candies and 1 Sinnoh Stone. Candy is easy to farm as long as Murkrow spawns frequently on the map. The Sinnoh Stone, on the other hand, relies entirely on RNG.

Murkrow Candy

Each time a Pokemon is caught, players receive 3 Candy. If players give the target Pokémon a Pinap Berry and manage to catch it before the berry effect “wears off,” they’ll get 6 Candy instead. Players can get more Pinap Berries by completing various research tasks (Field, Special) or spinning PokeStops. Since players need 100 Murkrow Candy, it is advisable to catch all Murkrows that appear on the map.

Another way to get Murkrow Candy is through the transfer feature. Transferring a Pokemon to the Professor will give him one Candy per Pokemon. Be sure to check Murkrows IVs before transferring them. Also keep an eye out for in-game events (which can be viewed by tapping the binoculars icon). In rare cases, transferring a Pokemon can give 2 Candy for a certain amount of time.

The final way to get Murkrow Candy is to set Murkrow as your buddy and go with him. In order for a Pokémon to run alongside its trainer, players must feed it berries until the meter fills up. Players must travel a set number of kilometers to receive a candy.

Sinnoh Stone

The easiest way to get a Sinnoh Stone is through a Research Breakthrough. This is achieved by collecting seven Research Stamps (one stamp per day), which players can obtain by completing field research tasks. However, as part of RNG, this method is not guaranteed and players must rely on sheer luck.

The other way to get a Sinnoh Stone is by challenging Team GO Rocket leaders or participating in PVP battles. Team GO Rocket leaders can be challenged once players have obtained a Rocket Radar. PVP battles can be accessed by selecting Battle from the menu. Note that each league has a CP limit. For example, the lowest league has a cap of 1500 CP per Pokemon.

Once these items are obtained, players can finally evolve Murkrow into Honchkrow. If players have leftover Murkrow Candy, they can start saving again to get a new charged move for Honchkrow, or use them to power-up.

Pokemon GO is available for mobile devices.
