Sanju Samson’s Comments For MS Dhoni Triggers Haters Who Were Quick To Respond

Sanju Samson is one of the most destructive batsmen to have played for the Indian cricket team in recent years. His skills behind the stumps have also improved significantly, making him a great combination of wicketkeeping and batter.

However, in a recent interview with the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), Samson said he derives his inspiration for the role from the legendary and one and only Mahendra Singh Dhoni. Samson said the former Men in Blue captain just so happens to be his favorite sports personality in the world.

There are many similarities between Dhoni and Samson. Both are extremely quiet and soft-spoken people who possess an abundance of raw power. Both were handed the captaincy of their respective teams and franchises at a very early age in their careers, and both showed immense zeal to improve their games significantly and make it impossible for selectors to ignore them when choosing a roster.

With their similar roles and the expectations placed on them, fans would often compare Samson to Dhoni. However, the 27-year-old has repeatedly said that no matter how successful or not his career ends, he would never want anyone to scale alongside Captain Cool.

Obviously every celebrity and famous athlete in the world has haters and doubters, and Samson is no exception. Hence his haters flocked to Twitter as soon as the news of Samson worshiping Dhoni made its way across the internet to bring him down:

The Indian cricket team is currently playing a three-match ODI series in Zimbabwe. The first ODI game will start on August 18th in Harare, while the remaining two games will take place at the same location on August 20th and 22nd.

KL Rahul will act as the team’s captain during matches. The 30-year-old is returning after a nearly three-month absence from competitive cricket. He took part in the Eliminator match against Royal Challengers Bangalore in the 2022 IPL. Some first-team players have been given a much-needed break from the Men in Blue to prepare for the next demanding cricket season.

It would be fascinating to see who will have the chance to take over the wicketkeeping duties now that Rishabh Pant will not play in the next couple of games. Samson was selected opposite Ishan Kishan to represent India in the latest ODI series against the West Indies last month.

He didn’t know much about bats, but his attitude was very popular nonetheless. notably the break in the final over of the opening ODI that gave India a narrow win.
