2023 Scotties playoff format

The top three teams from each pool advance from pool play to the Scotties playoffs, with six teams remaining overall.

The No. 2 team in Pool A meets the No. 3 team in Pool B and the No. 2 team in Pool B meets the No. 3 team in Pool A to determine who advances to the side playoffs. The #1 seeds both get bye.

This is how the side playoff that determines the champion works.

  • In Game 1, the third and fourth place teams play against each other. The loser is eliminated.
  • In game 2, the first and second place winners play against each other. The winner qualifies directly for the final.
  • In game 3 (semi-finals), the winner of game 1 plays against the loser of game 2. The loser is eliminated.
  • Game 4 (the final) is then played between the winners of games 2 and 3.
