Singleplayer, Multiplayer and Salmon Run are the three gameplay pillars of turn 3. But there is a fourth, more hidden game mode that exists separately from the rest of the game. As you explore Splatsville, you will eventually come across Tabletturf Battle, a trading card game that exists in the world of turn 3.
Tabletturf Battle pits you against NPC opponents in an equal parts turn-based card game tetris and splatoon. Each map has a different arrangement of blocks, and your goal is to cover the board with more of your color than your opponents – just like Turf War. Passing rounds charges your special meter, giving the seemingly one-dimensional mini-game a surprising layer of strategy.
However, before you start Tabletturf Battle, you need to find the starter deck somewhere in Splatsville. not how turn 3You cannot launch Tabletturf Battle from your main menu in the other modes of . Instead, you have to talk to the fish in charge to start card battles with NPCs.

Where to get the Tabletturf Battle Starter Deck
To play Tabletturf Battle you need to find the Splatsville Dojo. The quickest way to get there is to drive straight from the starting point in Splatsville and turn right as if you were going to Grizzco. Go past Grizzco and you will see an alley on the left.
Follow this alley and at the end you’ll find some hunches hanging around the fish running the tabletturf scene. Talk to her and you’ll get your starter deck. Speak to her again and you’ll be able to take on an escalating roster of NPC enemies in this card-based battle mode.
How to play Tabletturf Battle
To play Tabletturf Battle you can go to the Splatsville Dojo and choose opponents from a list of increasingly challenging enemies. You can also approach some of the player characters you see in Splatsville and play against a computer with their deck. Currently there is no way to play Tabletturf Battle against your friends or strangers online. It’s strictly single player vs. AI for now.
The basics of the mode require you to use the cards in your hand to take over as much of the board as possible. It’s worth covering orange special squares with ink, as this will give you a special point. Points can also be gained by passing a round. Special points are used to hit your opponent with special attacks that overrun their territory. Any card can be used as a special, but those with more tiles cost more Special Points.
Play the early game wisely and save up your points to unload and dish out the pain in the final rounds of combat.
How to get more cards for Tabletturf Battles
The only way to get more cards in Tabletturf Battle is through random card packs, like any good CCG. The fastest way to get more card packs turn 3 is by winning Tableturf Battles. Leveling up in the Splatsville Dojo ensures that you constantly earn more card packs and enemies to challenge.
There are also many ways to earn map packs outside of Tableturf Battle Mode. The shell-out machine has the option of outputting packs on the pull. Cards can also be earned in single player, and occasionally they are a reward for increasing your catalog rank.
