Another great duel added to the big fight calendar on Monday when WBC/WBO super bantamweight champion Stephen Fulton vs. multiweight world champion Naoya Inoue was officially scheduled for May 7 at the Yokohama Arena in Japan was announced.
Fulton (21-0, 18 KOs) is rated No. 1 by The Ring at 122 pounds. The quick-witted 28-year-old from Philadelphia has defeated several world-class opponents and is on the verge of pound for pound recognition. Many people believe this will be Inoue’s toughest test yet.
Inoue (24-0, 21 KOs) became the undisputed bantamweight champion in December. After outgrowing his third division, the Japanese hero immediately tackled the toughest test available at 122 pounds. He will have home field advantage against Fulton but gives away size, reach and natural weight.

The fight will be held at the Yokohama Arena in Japan. This is the second time Inoue has competed at this venue. At the first opportunity, the pound-for-pound star scored a shattering one-punch knockout in the first round against Juan Carlos Payano.
