Taylor Swift’s Latest Outsold The Top 50 Bestselling Albums In America Combined… Times Two

Whenever Taylor Swift graces the world with a new album, two things are pretty much guaranteed: it will climb to the top of the charts and it will become an instant bestseller. Those predictions have once again come true with their latest release: Speak Now (Taylor’s Version)which has proven to be one of the biggest sellers of late.

The album’s success is undeniable, as it quickly took the number one spot on the prestigious Billboard 200, marking Taylor Swift’s twelfth chart-topping album. Not only Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) dominate the Billboard 200, but also conquered the Top Album Sales chart, which specifically ranks the best-selling tracks based on physical and digital album sales (excluding streams).

In his debut week Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) achieved an amazing performance, according to Luminate, selling just under 507,000 copies, which was its biggest sales of the year. This outstanding performance left all other releases behind and made them pale in comparison to their immediate success.

To put Swift’s incredible achievement in perspective, her latest project topped all other tracks on the Top Albums Selling chart by 50 spots this week… combined and then some. In fact, her album’s sales surpassed the combined sales of the next 49 best-selling albums in the United States, not just once, but twice over.

If you add the sales of the top 10 tracks in the top album sales list, including five other albums by Swift himself, Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) surpassed them all by three and a half times.

As for second place in the top selling album list, 5 Stars by Stray Kids secured that spot with a further 27,000 copies sold, an impressive number for the set which has been going strong for weeks. However, when compared to Swift’s colossal success, 5 Stars didn’t matter much to get to the top of the list. Swift sold the K-pop project more than 18 times, although that number would likely have been higher for any other second-place release.
