‘The Voice’ Fans Are Devastated Over Blake Shelton’s Latest Tour Announcement on Instagram
Blake Shelton is peppered with questions about his recent career decision, but he might have a good reason for it.
The premiere of The voice Season 23 is still a few weeks away, but Blake is back on the road doing what he loves most — performing his country hits. Back in September, Blake announced his “Back To The Honky Tonk” tour, which will include 18 different stops across the United States over a six-week period.
Blake’s new tour takes him to Michigan, North Carolina and even his home state of Oklahoma. In addition, he will be joined on stage by country artists Carly Pearce and Jackson Dean before ending in upstate New York. Most recently, the NBC star reminded people that he will launch in Nebraska on February 16th. It turns out not everyone agrees with the locations he chose.
In response to the concert lineup, fans immediately took questions to his Instagram comments section.
“What about CALIFORNIA mister?!” one person wrote. “What the heck?! You ain’t coming to Houston?! Oh damn nahh,” added another. “Where’s Blake the date of the New England tour???” said another listener.
Though the “God’s Country” singer hasn’t responded to followers’ inquiries, he may have shed some light on why his current tour is shorter than previous ones. During an Ole Red Las Vegas Q&A session, Blake revealed that he might take inspiration from country music legend George Strait and the way he performs.
“I thought I’d get away with it The voice so I would have more free time, but you make me feel like maybe not,” he said, according to SheFinds. “George Strait is my hero on many different levels, one of which is how little he tours. And it’s like, I want to do everything like George Strait.”
It sounds like fans might have to get used to a smaller tour date choice if Blake decides to travel again. With The voice Season 23, which premieres March 6, will also keep the Out in the Middle artist up to date with blind auditions while he’s on the road. But until he’s done performing on March 25, he’ll likely have some time off before live shows begin later this spring.
