Tiger Woods being sued by Erica Herman, latest news, legend’s personal life to take another public beating

Tiger Woods’ personal life is on the verge of another public spanking.

Just when it seemed like his turbulent life had settled down, that he was a happy family man with a longtime partner and his two children, Wood’s public world is turned upside down once again.

Erica Herman, Woods’ girlfriend of about six years, is suing the 47-year-old golf superstar in hopes of overturning a non-disclosure agreement Woods signed early in their relationship, according to documents filed in Martin County, Fla.

Herman claims the NDA should not be enforced because of the Speak Out Act, which provides an exception in scenarios where there is evidence of sexual assault or harassment.

While there have been no allegations or evidence of sexual assault or harassment on the part of Woods, given his dubious track record, that raises antennas — fair or not.

Woods, of course, was the subject of a very public cheating scandal in 2009 that shattered his marriage to then-wife Elin Nordegren, mother of his two children, Sam and Charlie.

He is said to have had affairs with numerous different women, some of whom went public with the juicy details of their trysts and earned money for paid appearances and interviews about Woods.

This is certainly why Woods insisted that Herman sign this NDA, hoping to protect herself from some kind of all-clear should their relationship ever end in bitterness.

And yet here we are.

But Woods’ latest relationship mess doesn’t appear to be about infidelity.

It seems to be about money.

Herman claims she was kicked out of the home she shared with Woods.

Herman had become an integral part of Woods’ life, almost always present at tournaments he attended and often hanging out with his children.

She was often spotted at children’s sporting events.

She seemed to have a profound effect, making Woods a much more grounded, humble person.

In his meetings with the press, Woods appeared happier and more content than he had been before he had settled in with Herman.

Also, Herman was the opposite of some of the women Woods had previously dated, like world-class skier Lindsey Vonn, as she was neither famous nor conspicuous.

Herman had a girl-next-door vibe, and she was very close with the Woods children.

I’ll never forget seeing Herman huddled at a corner table in the Augusta National clubhouse with Woods’ mom, Tida, Sam and Charlie in 2019 as Woods was about to win the Masters.

Herman was smitten with the kids ripping through candy restlessly, leaving wrappers everywhere, and she fidgeted nervously as she watched Woods on the TV screen as he attempted to complete his 15th major championship of his career.

Now this.

This isn’t the endgame that Woods and Herman’s relationship seemed headed for — at least from what we’ve seen in public.

The news of this Herman court filing caught many people in golf by surprise despite not having been spotted with him at the last three golf events he participated in, starting with his Hero World Challenge in the Bahamas and then the PNC Championship and that Genesis Invitational last month. This breakup is further proof that you never know what’s going on in someone’s life behind closed doors — even with those you think you know based on what you see in public.
