Suns in the hornet forecast

Kevin Durant makes his debut for the Suns (33-29 SU, 32-29-1 ATS, 26-35 O/U) with the Hornets (20-43 SU, 27-34-2 ATS, 28-35 O) tonight /U) .

That number seems too low to me, so I’ll play the over. Both teams have combined at least 117 points in seven of their last 10 games. Charlotte has also played the fastest pace in the league in the last five games and ranks 12th in offensive efficiency over that span. I know LaMelo Ball is out, which might slow them down a bit, but the Hornets are still a team that likes to score in the transition phase. They are top 10 in turnover and fast break points this season. Kevin Durant also makes his debut with Phoenix tonight. He’ll add even more points to an already efficient offense. This number is moving up fast, so grab Caesars at 229 before it goes any higher and take advantage of the generous welcome offer while you’re at it!

PICK: Suns-Hornets OVER 229

Cavaliers at Celtics Prediction

The Cavaliers (39-25 SU, 34-28-2 ATS, 29-34 O/U) are hoping for their third win of the season against the Celtics (44-18 SU, 32-28-2 ATS, 29-30 O / U).

The Cavs had numbered the Celtics that season, winning each of the previous two meetings. Both games went into overtime where Cleveland was able to end things. Boston loves shooting 3s, but the Cavs are really good at defending the perimeter, keeping the Celtics to under 30 percent of 3s in both games. Unless Boston gets extremely hot from deep, these are two even teams, and Cleveland knows what it takes to pick up the W, even on the road, so pick up the points with the Cavs; You can still get +5.5 (-115) at BetMGM.

CHOOSE: Cavaliers +5.5

Grizzlies at Rocket’s Prediction

The Grizzles (37-23 SU, 29-29-2 ATS, 25-32 O/U) and Rockets (13-48 SU, 22-35-4 ATS, 30-31 O/U) score with both teams tonight play the second game of a back-to-back on each other.

The Grizzlies have been really bad against Western Conference opponents, only going 13-21-1 against the spread this season. Add that to a back-to-back after a hard-fought game against the Lakers last night and I don’t want to get anywhere near that range. Instead, I’m targeting the first quarter to surpass the 56.5 total. The Rockets love to start games quickly and I expect that will be the case in their home country tonight. Four of Houston’s last five first quarters have exceeded that total, averaging 61.2 points. Memphis is also in the top 10 in the opening frame and in the top 5 on the road. Given that both teams played last night, I’d be shocked if they went all defensive, especially early on.

CHOOSE: Grizzlies Rockets OVER 56.5 points
