Trainer fan ‘knocked out cold’ as tempers flare in queue for latest Nike Jordans
The shocking video captures the moment a sneaker fan was “knocked out” as tempers flared outside a shop in Manchester city center about to release the latest Nike Jordans.
Violence erupted on Market Street before Size?Manchester opened on Saturday morning when the sneaker retailer announced it was selling Nike’s latest Air Jordan sneakers, named after Chicago Bulls basketball legend Michael Jordan, on a “who.” first come, first serve” would sell.
The coveted Air Jordan 4 SE Craft Photon Dust went on sale for the first time on Saturday, with a pair starting at £285.

Fans of the new sneakers, who were said to have reacted to an announcement from the shop, turned up at the Market Street venue well before the dark opening.
The first potential customers were handed tickets by store staff who confirmed their place in the queue, but problems arose as more people started arriving, according to a source.
Video made available to the Manchester Evening News shows a group of young men crowding around the front door of the venue.
Moments later, loud voices are heard and a scuffle breaks out in the middle of the gathering of young men.
A man in a blue top emerges from the group, followed by others. You see him fall to the ground and one of the men kicks the man in the head.
The injured person then lies motionless on the ground.
A source familiar with the incident told the MEN the man was “knocked out.”
He added: “The shoe release hadn’t happened yet. People lined up for the release, which was publicly posted on the Size? Manchester” was released. A group of people came at 8pm the night before and made an unofficial list of who is first in line and they agreed to come back at 6am.
“Between those times people would queue and when the people on the list came there would be an argument because they thought it was unfair which led to what happened in the video. I want it to be clear that no one was ‘robbed’ nor was it a racist attack.”
On its website, Size?Manchester says it offers “niche products and brands” in “bespoke” stores that boast “desirable products that weren’t readily available in your ordinary high street store.”
It profiles itself as a “go-to retailer for coveted, exclusive sneaker launches.”
The MEN have reached out to Size?Manchester and Greater Manchester Police for comment.
