Triton Poker Vietnam 2023: $20,000 No Limit Hold’Em Mystery Bounty results, champion, leaderboard, prizemoney

Popular Twitch streamer and ACR forward Mark Rubbathan has celebrated the biggest result of his poker career, winning the $20,000 Mystery Bounty event at the Triton Poker Super High Roller Series in Vietnam.

Rubbathan scooped up a $396,000 Mega First Prize after defeating Wiktor ‘Limitless’ Malinowski heads-up while winning 10 bounties, the amount of money in those bounties is yet to be announced.

The British content creator enjoyed an incredible series of cards at the final table, but also showed tremendous balance while winning the biggest score of his life as the chip leader.

With Rubbathan at the start of the final table, an exciting foursome between Victor Chong (QQ), Pedro Garagnani (KJo), Kean Wei Tan (KTo) and Malinowski (T6s) led and the two tens rolled around the board, including the fall ten on the river , with Garagnani crippled as his three opponents each won a portion of the pot.

Rubbathan was the first to get a scalp at the final table, using his chip-leading stack to open jam-ace-seven-offsuit, and Garagnani called his remaining few chips with suited king-jack to finish in ninth to retire.

It was the Weazel show early on as English pro Timothy Adams knocked out with his ace-king in suite against the Canadian with queen-jack in suite, with Rubbathan amassing 12.5 million chips and a comfortable lead to that point runner-up was Light Brown with 5.95 million chips.

Rubbathan knocked out a third straight player when his queen-ten with two pairs flopped against Joao Vieira’s ace-king open jam, and maintained his huge chip lead with six players remaining.

Finally, someone else came into play and eliminated a player with Daniel Dvoress’ ace-jack holding against Gytis Lazauninkas’ ace-nine, with the Lithuanian busting out in sixth place.

Dvoress and Chong both briefly took the chip lead until Rubbathan regained the advantage when he defeated Tan with his ace-queen and passed the Malaysian’s pocket nines.

Rubbathan then dueled his pocket kings against short-stack Malinowski’s ace-four, but an ace hit the flop and the dangerous “Limitless” secured a double-up.

Weazel’s good run continued at the final table when his pocket queens were jammed by Dvoress’ pocket eights, with the Brit eliminating the fourth-place Canadian and leading with 39 BB chips to second-best Chong with 13 BBs.

With three players remaining, Rubbathan continued to take the deck when he ended up calling Chong’s ace-queen jam with his own ace-king offsuit, holding it heads-up between Weazel and Malinowski.

With a mammoth chip lead over Malinowski, Rubbathan looked in bad shape with his nine-jack against Limitless’ king-nine, but a jack rolled on the river to give “Weazel” the Triton title.

Mike Takayama was the unlucky player on the bubble when the Filipino’s ace-ten jammed preflop while running a short stack into pocket kings held by Vieira.

Lots of big names were in action early in the tournament, including Stephen Chidwick, Justin Bonomo, Jason Koon, Steve O’Dwyer, Isaac Haxton and $15,000 8-Hand Champion Nacho Barbero.
