Sydney Country Living Terrey Hills’ Taylor Snell said since the pandemic began, more buyers have been interested in having sports gear as part of their lifestyle properties.

He had also noticed an increase in buyers in the city looking for fully furnished retreats as second homes.
“They really want a little resort where they can spend their weekend and be entertained,” he said.
More modest homes with bespoke sports facilities have also emerged, including apartments with shared putting greens.

Those looking for the ultimate tree-changing retreat should look no further than this sports haven just 20 minutes southwest of Coffs Harbour.

This property in Ingleside was the training ground for a first class cricketer and a professional rugby player.
Sydney Country Living Terrey Hills sales representative Taylor Snell said the owners had converted the existing two-bedroom house into a five-bedroom sports retreat for their sporting sons, one of whom went on to play NSW Second XI in the UK and another previously played professional rugby To become the head coach of the Toronto Arrows.
The 2.23ha property includes a putting green, cricket pitch with bat nets, rugby goal posts and a 10m in ground pool.

Mr Boys said the putting green is a major attraction for guests.
“One of the main advantages of a putting green is that it doesn’t require too much maintenance or mowing. You could leave the property for three months, go on holiday, come back and everything would be the same,” Mr Boys said.
