Is there an automatic save?
Auto-save has become far more common in JRPG games these days. Valkyrie Elysium continues this trend and has an autosave that kicks in regularly. While some games rely on a tiny little icon in one of the corners of the screen, Valkyrie Elysium displays a message in the top right corner that says “Auto-Saving” with a small pen next to it.
Once this disappears, the game has successfully saved all progress made so far. This feature is somewhat unreliable as it is not clear what triggers it. So Valkyrie Elysium Players should be careful how much they rely on it.
Is there a way to save manually?
As is very traditional in JRPGs, Valkyrie Elysium has manual save points. As in many RPGs that have manual save points, these devices that can be used to save progress are neither subtle nor easy to miss.
