Wake Forest QB Sam Hartman out indefinitely due to ‘non-football medical condition’
Wake Forest quarterback Sam Hartman, one of the ACC’s top returning signal callers, will be out indefinitely early in the season.
The Demon Deacons announced Wednesday that Hartman would miss time with an undisclosed “non-football illness,” which the school’s medical staff discovered Tuesday.
According to publication:
“Following a practice Tuesday, August 9, redshirt junior quarterback Sam Hartman sought medical attention for a non-football medical condition. The results of these tests and subsequent treatment will remove Sam from team activities indefinitely.
“The timetable for his return to competition is uncertain. … Wake Forest Athletics’ medical and athletic training staff provide constant support to Sam and his family. Further updates will be shared as needed.”

When that will be is uncertain, although Wake Forest will no doubt get a boost from Hartman on his return.
