Warriors vs. Suns score, result: Klay Thompson shoots the lights out to lead Warriors past Suns

The Golden State Warriors extended their winning streak to eight games at the Chase Center after a 123-112 win over the Phoenix Suns

Klay Thompson had the hot hand early, scoring 33 of his 38 first-half points, while Stephen Curry added 23 points, seven rebounds and five assists.

Phoenix bounced back as low as 25 points twice and reduced the deficit to single digits in the fourth quarter before Thompson, Curry and Jordan Poole closed the door.

Devin Booker led the Suns with 32 points that night while Deandre Ayton finished with a strong double-double of 27 points and 12 rebounds.

With the win, the Warriors improve to 36-30 for the season and close the gap with the fourth-placed Suns, who fall to 37-31.
