The NFL continues its support of historically black colleges and universities with the second annual HBCU Legacy Game on Saturday.

The 2023 HBCU Legacy Game will serve as the final All-Star game of the 2022 college football season while also featuring the largest scouting event for HBCU players. According to the HBCU Legacy Game website, it will feature the top NFL Draft-eligible players from the HBCU ranks.

Considering that four HBCU players were selected for the 2022 NFL Draft — Fayetteville State cornerback Joshua Williams, South Carolina State cornerback Cobie Durant, Jackson State linebacker James Houston and Southern guard Ja’Tyre Carter — Saturday’s event is on Must have for NFL scouts and fans like.

When is the HBCU Legacy Bowl 2023?

  • Date: Saturday February 25th
  • Time: 4 p.m. ET

The HBCU Legacy Bowl begins at 4:00 p.m. ET at Tulane’s Yulman Stadium in New Orleans.

What channel is the HBCU Legacy Bowl on?

NFL Network will continue its coverage of the event for the second straight year. Steve Wyche will serve as play-by-play announcer, Charles Davis and Bucky Brooks as analysts, and Sherree Burruss as sideline reporter.

2023 HBCU Legacy Bowl rosters

The HBCU Legacy Bowl features the top NFL draft-eligible HBCU players, divided into two teams: Team Robinson (named after Eddie Robinson of Grambling State) and Team Gaither (named after Jake Gaither of Florida A&M).

Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) and Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) players will make up Team Gaither, while Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) and Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) players will play for Team Robinson.
