What channel is Oleksandr Usyk vs. Anthony Joshua on tonight? How to watch, buy 2022 heavyweight boxing rematch

Anthony Joshua will seek redemption. Oleksandr Usyk, who has just fought for his country, hopes to silence any doubters. Usyk will defend his WBA, IBF, WBO and IBO heavyweight titles against Joshua on Saturday in Saudi Arabia. The ring title is also at stake.

Usyk made his pro debut in 2013 after winning a gold medal at the 2012 Olympics. He moved up to heavyweight in 2019 after becoming the undisputed cruiserweight champion. After defeating Chazz Witherspoon and Derek Chisora, he defeated Joshua via unanimous decision last September to become the WBA, IBF, WBO, and IBO Heavyweight Champion.

The Ukrainian kept his pre-fight speech short and sweet as everything focuses on fight night.

“I am very happy to be here in Saudi Arabia,” Usyk said. “It is very pleasant for me and my team. We do what we have to do to achieve our goals. I have never made loud or bright speeches. To become world champion I just worked hard in my training camp and gym. I will do that until the day of the fight and my boxing will make me happy.”

Joshua made his pro debut in 2013. In 2015 he won the Commonwealth and British Heavyweight titles against Gary Cornish and Dillian Whyte respectively. From 2016 to 2018, Joshua beat players like Charles Martin, Dominic Breazeale, Eric Molina, Wladimir Klitschko, Carlos Takam, Joseph Parker and Alexander Povetkin. He beat Martin for the IBF heavyweight title, Klitschko for the WBA and IBO heavyweight titles, and Parker for the WBO heavyweight title.

In 2019, Andy Ruiz Jr. beat Joshua for all the gold in one of the biggest upsets in boxing history. Joshua defeated Ruiz in a rematch six months later in Saudi Arabia. Joshua retained the titles against Kubrat Pulev in December 2020 and then lost the belts again, this time to Usyk.
