Emanuel Navarrete will look to continue his takeover of the featherweight division on August 20th. In his path is Eduardo Baez. The fight for Navarrete’s WBO featherweight title will take place at Pechanga Arena in San Diego, California.
Navarrete made his professional debut in 2012. In 2018, he won the WBO junior featherweight title from Isaac Dogboe and defended it five times. Moving up to featherweight, he beat Ruben Villa for the WBO featherweight title in 2020.
Navarrete twice defended the belt and last fought in October when he defeated Joet Gonzalez by unanimous decision. He is ready to return to the ring and pick up where he left off.
“I’m ready to come back after a long break,” Navarrete said during open practice. “Sometimes you get doubts when you spend so much time outside the ring. But as soon as the training camp starts, the positive mentality returns.”

Baez made his pro debut in 2013. In his last three fights he is 2-1. In March, Baez Jose beat Enrique Durantes Vivas by majority decision.
