In recent years, the Muslim Charities Forum has estimated that British Muslims will collectively give over £130m to charity during the holy month. This Ramadan, the platform will help donors do more through Match Funding.

Givematch empowers people to match their donations through the power of social influence and social sharing. When a person donates through the platform, they receive a unique link. If they get two friends to donate through this link, their original donation will be doubled.

The platform partners with corporate donors to offer their match funding services. As campaigns progress, donors can see how much is left in their Match Funding pot, meaning they can track the fundraising journey of their chosen charity.

Sporting Chance Prize Draw works with global payment gateway

Sporting Chance Prize Draw has partnered with global payment gateway Volt to improve the payment process for its community and donors.

Volt’s open banking solution will enable Sporting Chance Prize Draw to attract contributions from donors via real-time account-to-account payments.

The annual Sporting Chance Prize Draw is underway and will end on March 31st. This year, the organization is working with its charity partners to aim to raise a six-figure donation. Contributions are collected online, with a minimum of £10, and every penny collected is donated to the 30 chosen charities.

Simplifying the checkout process for donors has been central to the Sporting Chance Prize Draw’s goal of doubling its impact in 2023. Volt’s payment gateway meets this need by eliminating friction during the checkout process and improving conversion.

GOOD launches multichannel campaign with RSPB

The strategy and creative agency GOOD has launched an integrated multichannel fundraising campaign with the RSPB.

The UK is one of the most naturally degraded countries in the world, with one in seven wild animal species threatened with extinction. The For Our Wild campaign brings this to life, showcasing Britain’s wildlife and wild places like never before.

The creative examines the delicate balance between habitats, species and people, the challenges wildlife faces today and encourages people to donate to the RSPB to help protect and restore places where wildlife can thrive.

The campaign includes DRTV, Digital Out of Home and Social. This is supported by a radio and digital campaign.

Matt Goulson, RSPB Head of Individual Giving said:

“Nature in the UK is more spectacular than many of us realize, but unfortunately it is also under serious threat. The RSPB’s conservation areas provide vital habitat for some of our most endangered species and we hope this fundraiser will inspire the public to help the RSPB bring more species back from the abyss. Nature is in crisis, together we can save it.”

The RSPB is also involved in a joint campaign to save our wild islands with the National Trust and WWF. More about this here.

Raffolux’s grand Christmas prize draw has raised over £90,000 to over 70 charities, the online prize draw platform has announced.

It also runs raffles solely for specific good causes, with the majority of ticket sales being donated directly to the stated charity. It has currently raised over £600,000 for charities across the UK including Blue Cross, ActionAid UK, Hospice UK and Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity.
