Where is Euro 2024? Host nation for next men’s European Championships
The next men’s European Championship tournament is just around the corner, the event will take place from June 14 to July 14, 2024.
Unlike previous Euro tournaments, the last edition of the competition was held in 11 countries across Europe to celebrate the 60th anniversary of a tournament that has been staged every four years since 1960.
At Euro 2020, postponed to 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Italy clinched the title after beating England on penalties at Wembley, one of 11 host cities.
However, Euro 2024 will not be as widespread as only one country wins the hosting rights this time.

Who is hosting Euro 2024?
Germany will host Euro 2024 after winning a bidding process in September 2018.
They received three times as many votes as Turkey, which was the only other candidate.
Germany was last the exclusive host of the Euro when West Germany was the destination of the event in 1988. But Munich’s Allianz Arena was one of eleven venues in 2021, with four games played there.
Euro 2024 stadiums, cities
Germany has proposed 10 venues for matches at Euro 2024 – nine of which were also used when they hosted the 2006 World Cup.
Cities across Germany have been chosen to ensure all regions are close to action.
The Olympiastadion in Berlin will host the final of Euro 2024, while the Allianz Arena will host the tournament’s opening match.

Unlike the FIFA World Cup, which was played in 2022 among 32 finalist teams, Euro 2024 is sticking to its 24-team format at present.
The most recent expansion of the Men’s European Championship was in 2016, when the tournament went from 16 to 24 participants.
The European Championships began with just four teams in 1960 before growing to eight in 1980 and 16 in 1996.
UEFA considered making Euro 2022 a 32-team tournament before shelving those plans for good.
