Which driver has led the most consecutive laps in F1 history?
Alberto Ascari (305)
Back between 1952 and 1953 during his winning streak of seven straight Grands Prix, Alberto Ascari also set the record for most laps led in succession.
His tally of 305 was racked up whilst he was driving for Scuderia Ferrari, the same team he won both the 1952 and 1953 World Drivers’ Championship title with.
Not only was Ascari the team’s first world champion but he is also still the last Italian to date to win the title in Formula One for the famous constructor.
