Live painting by Carling Jackson – The Athlete Artist

Carling Jackson hails from Vancouver and is known as “The Athlete Artist”. He is a humanitarian and professional athlete portrait artist whose main goal as a contemporary artist is to “paint the change I want to see in the world”. She is currently the world’s most commissioned artist by professional athletes and was the first sports artist to paint at a FIFA World Cup. A former high-performance athlete; Her playing career spanned BC Soccer’s provincial side and Canada national team’s camps, as well as the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and later Southern University A&M before injuries prompted early retirement.

Last year she captured athletes and moments in public murals at the FIFA World Cup in Qatar and on Saturday she will create a live 5×5 mural at BC Place in the Asahi Super Dry Landing as the Caps take on FC Dallas . For more information about Jackson and her work, visit carlingjackson.com.
