Whoopi Goldberg Latest Progressive To Criticize Woke And Cancel Culture
Whoopi Goldberg railed against political correctness on Monday.
Goldberg criticized the removal of Mississippi broadcaster Barbie Bassett, who recently quoted Snoop Dogg on the air as “fo shizzle, my nizzle.”
“Nizzle” is slang for the N-word, the Thought Police say.
“There has to be a book of things no one could ever say, never, never, never. Include everything,” Goldberg said.
“The things that are changing, you can say that, but you can’t say that, but next week you might not be able to say that, it’s hard to keep up. It’s hard to keep up. And if you’re a person of a certain age, there are things we do and say.”
In particular, Goldberg complained about the ever-moving goalposts of terms that the constantly offended no longer tolerate:
“We don’t know everything you don’t know. And if someone says something, if you don’t give them a chance to explain why they said it, at least give them the grace to say, “You know what, I was just informed that I shouldn’t be doing that.” done’ as opposed to ‘you’re out’. Because saying “you’re out” means you don’t want to hear what people have to say or what mistakes they might have made that could have helped someone else avoid that mistake,” she continued.
What she says is correct. The Woke Speak book just keeps getting bigger. Only those who pretend to be outraged have time to keep up.
Still, Goldberg surprised viewers with it. Few shows define political correctness as faithfully as The View.
But Goldberg’s newfound resistance to outrage proves she’s just the latest ex-foot soldier to take a stand against Cancel culture.
OutKick ran a column last week entitled “This is the Woke Influence Case”. The dissertation examines exactly how the figures who propagated waking thought began to oppose the escalation of the movement.

In summary:
Wokeism is an escalation of progressivism. A hunt without end.
The mission began with a focus on existing problems. But the mission, by its very nature, must go on Progresseven when the problems it screeches about no longer exist.
A gay marriage battle turned into dangerous sex reassignments for young children. A racist reckoning morphed into the normalization of blatant anti-white racism. Abusive behavior on the internet turned into censorship of political opinions.
Such is the state of the word crimes.
In the past, the goalpost of outrage was actually offensive terms. Now the post is in any period that a person with a platform calls offensive.
Wokeism is as stable as its influencers are loyal. Wakeism is a product of Messaging; of influencers participating in an attack on societal norms.
And now, from Netflix to Whoopi Goldberg, the very people who supported Cancel culture are among its loudest critics.
Perhaps Goldberg had to apologize for using the word “gypped” throughout her show to realize just how much rousing it takes to support the latest iteration of political correctness.
