Windy weather wreaks havoc in Cornwall – latest updates
The wind appears to be wreaking havoc around Cornwall this morning (Monday 13th March).
Several crashes involving debris have been reported on the county’s roads. The A39 was blocked by a fallen tree between Wadebridge and Camelford for almost two hours.
Meanwhile, Fore Street in Redruth has been closed due to an unsafe building. Traffic enforcement agency Inrix reports that a large piece of wood fell from a building onto the road.

Traffic returned to normal at Carland Cross
According to Inrix, traffic has returned to normal on the A39 northbound following a previous accident: “Traffic has returned to normal, accident on the A39 northbound resolved at A30 (Carland Cross).”

New A39 crash on A30
Inrix reports an accident on the A39 Newquay Road near Truro causing delays. The accident appears to have happened at the A30 junction at Carland Cross roundabout.
“Reports of slow traffic following an accident on the A39 northbound off the A30 (Carland Cross).”

Unsafe building in Redruth
A post on Inrix said: “Fore Street One Way Street closed due to unsafe development from Green Lane to Station Road.
“A large piece of wood fell from a building onto the street.”

“Road cleared fallen tree removed on A39 in both directions near St Tudy junction.
“Affecting traffic between Wadebridge and Camelford.”
