As always, the 2023 World Baseball Classic is an international affair, with two of its four pools being played in the Eastern Hemisphere and the other two in the West.

The three host countries are Chinese Taipei, Japan and the United States, with the United States hosting two pools and the championship round.

Quarterfinals will be played in the US and Japan before the semifinals and championship are played at LoanDepot Park in Miami to round out the tournament.

This is the first time the World Baseball Classic finals will not be held on the US West Coast.

Where are World Baseball Classic pools played?

Four stadiums will host pools in the WBC 2023. Pool A is located at Taichung Intercontinental Baseball Stadium in Chinese Taipei. Pool B is located in the Tokyo Dome. Pool C is located at Chase Field in Phoenix, Arizona and Pool D is at LoanDepot Park in Miami, Florida.

Each stadium will host 10 games in a round-robin tournament.

Here is what you should know about these respective stages.

Taichung Intercontinental Baseball Stadium (Pool A)

Taichung Intercontinental Baseball Stadium in Taichung, Chinese Taipei opened in 2006.

The ballpark has a capacity of 20,000 and is no stranger to the early rounds of the World Baseball Classic.

It is home to the CTBC Brothers, part of the Chinese professional baseball league. Here are the dimensions of the park:

Area distance
Left field line 325 feet
left-center 379 feet
center 400 feet
right-centre 379 feet
Right field line 325 feet

The stadium doesn’t have any quirky lanes or anything like that, it’s a symmetrical stadium. So it won’t favor either right- or left-handed bats.
