World Baseball Classic 2023 locations: Full list of cities, stadiums for pool play & championship games
As always, the 2023 World Baseball Classic is an international affair, with two of its four pools being played in the Eastern Hemisphere and the other two in the West.
The three host countries are Chinese Taipei, Japan and the United States, with the United States hosting two pools and the championship round.
Quarterfinals will be played in the US and Japan before the semifinals and championship are played at LoanDepot Park in Miami to round out the tournament.
This is the first time the World Baseball Classic finals will not be held on the US West Coast.

Where are World Baseball Classic pools played?
Four stadiums will host pools in the WBC 2023. Pool A is located at Taichung Intercontinental Baseball Stadium in Chinese Taipei. Pool B is located in the Tokyo Dome. Pool C is located at Chase Field in Phoenix, Arizona and Pool D is at LoanDepot Park in Miami, Florida.
Each stadium will host 10 games in a round-robin tournament.

Taichung Intercontinental Baseball Stadium (Pool A)
Taichung Intercontinental Baseball Stadium in Taichung, Chinese Taipei opened in 2006.
The ballpark has a capacity of 20,000 and is no stranger to the early rounds of the World Baseball Classic.
It is home to the CTBC Brothers, part of the Chinese professional baseball league. Here are the dimensions of the park:

The stadium doesn’t have any quirky lanes or anything like that, it’s a symmetrical stadium. So it won’t favor either right- or left-handed bats.

Tokyo Dome (Pool B)
The Tokyo Dome is home to the Yomiuri Giants. Opened in 1988, it is the oldest stadium at this year’s World Baseball Classic.
The Tokyo Dome has hosted 10 MLB games since 2000, the most recent being between the Mariners and Athletics in 2019. Its capacity is 45,600 and has been home to the Giants since it opened. Before the Sapporo Dome opened in 2004, it also hosted the Nippon-Ham Fighters.
The Tokyo Dome has hosted games of every World Baseball Classic to date – pools in 2006 and 2009, second round in 2013, and pools and second round in 2017. This year, pools and quarterfinals will be played there.

Hunting Field (Pool C)
Chase Field in Phoenix, Arizona is home to the Diamondbacks and will host Team USA’s pool, Pool C. Chase Field opened in 1998 and has a retractable roof and capacity of 48,405.
The stadium has also hosted games for the WBC in the past, including the first round of the inaugural tournament in 2006. It also hosted pools in 2013.
Chase Field is the first ballpark on this list that has some quirks in its dimensions. For example, there are parts of the ballpark that are deeper than dead center, with the right center and left center slightly further back. It’s also slightly flatter along the left field line than on the right.

Rental Depot Park (Pool D)
Pool D is played at LoanDepot Park in Miami, another retractable roof stadium that opened in 2012.
Home to the Marlins, LoanDepot Park also features some architectural features. Its capacity is 37,442 with standing room.
Similar to Chase Field, it is asymmetrical, being slightly lower on the left field line than on the right. It’s 407 feet to dead center.

After the billiards game in these four stadiums, the games for the quarterfinals will be consolidated into two stadiums: the Tokyo Dome and the LoanDepot Park.
Where are the Quarterfinals of the World Baseball Classic played?
The Tokyo Dome in Japan and LoanDepot Park in the United States will be the venues for the Quarterfinals of the World Baseball Classic.
Japan will begin hosting their quarter-finals matches between the top two seeders from Pools A and B on March 15, while Miami host four teams from Pools C and D on March 17.

Where have previous WBC championships been held?
