Andy Reid salary, net worth: How much money is Chiefs head coach making in 2023?
Nick Sirianni is a newly minted NFL head coach. His counterpart in Super Bowl 57? Not as much.
Andy Reid has long been the league’s head coach. At 28, Bill Belichick is the only active head coach with more seasons in the league than Reid’s 24.

Most lists that include the words “NFL history” and “coach” tend to include Reid. He is fifth all-time in wins (247). Playoff runner-up wins (21). Fourth place in conference titles (four). If the Chiefs win the Super Bowl, he’ll be one of only 14 coaches with multiple titles in his career.
Coaching in the NFL can be a lucrative profession, and as long as – and also – as Reid has been doing it, the money can be amassed.
Here’s how much Reid will make in 2023 and how much he’s worth:
Contract with Andy Reid
It probably won’t surprise you that Reid is one of the highest paid coaches in the NFL. While exact coaching contract numbers aren’t always publicly known, Sports Illustrated’s Albert Breer reported that Reid is part of the $10 million annual club.
Back in 2020, Reid signed a six-year extension with the Chiefs that will keep him in Kansas City through at least 2025.

Only Hank Stram, who coached the franchise for its first 15 years (first at Dallas as the Texans and then at Kansas City as the Chiefs), stayed longer at the helm of the franchise than Reid, who tied Marty Schottenheimer for most of the seasons that ended in the History of the Chiefs at 10. Reid’s 162 regular season games that he has coached are only surpassed by Stram’s 210.
The Chiefs have won the Super Bowl twice, including Reid’s win in 2019. With a win that year, he would have brought more trophies to Kansas City than were there before he arrived.
Andy Reid Net Worth
Being in the NFL as long as Reid helped him build a solid fortune. CelebrityNetWorth puts his net worth at $30 million, but the latest deal it lists is his five-year deal signed in 2017, which could have been worth up to $40 million.
Reid has had a long coaching career. He coached the collegiate ranks from the ages of 24 to 33 before moving to the NFL in 1992 to coach tight ends and work as an assistant offensive line coach for the Packers. He was promoted to quarterbacks coach in 1997 and hired by the Eagles as head coach in 1999.

Reid spent 14 years leading the Eagles, coaching the team to one Super Bowl and four conference championship games. During his time in Philadelphia, he spent all but two seasons as executive vice president of football operations. He is the franchise’s leader in games (224), wins (130), and playoff wins (10). No other coach has more than 111 regular-season games or 63 wins to his credit.
The Eagles announced they would not renew Reid’s contract after the 2012 season when the team went 4-12. Reid was immediately hired by the Chiefs and was named their head coach in 2013. He hasn’t looked back since then.
