Monday Night Football is back!
After waiting nine months for Monday night, NFL fans are getting a celebratory matchup to round out the first week’s schedule.
Russell Wilson will make his Broncos debut and return to Seattle to take on the Seahawks after spending the first 10 seasons of his career with the franchise.
Wilson led the Seahawks to their first Super Bowl title in franchise history and qualified for the playoffs in eight of his ten seasons in Seattle.
Denver acquired the nine-time Pro Bowl quarterback and a fourth-round pick in exchange for tight end Noah Fant, quarterback Drew Lock, defensive end Shelby Harris, 2022 and 2023 first-round picks, 2022 and 2023 second-round picks, and a 2022 fifth-round pick in the past low season.
His return to CenturyLink Field will be emotional as the “12. Man” will have a chance to honor Wilson before quickly shifting gears to gain a foothold against the greatest quarterback in franchise history.
