The 74th Primetime Emmy Awards begin Monday at 5:00 p.m. PT / 8:00 p.m. ET live on NBC and for the first time on the Peacock streaming service. The three-hour ceremony will take place at the Microsoft Theater at LA Live in downtown Los Angeles SNL Host is veteran Kenan Thompson.
Monday night’s event will be the culmination of film awards season following last weekend’s two-day Creative Arts Emmy Awards, which saw HBO/HBO Max and Netflix lead the race for overall awards between networks and streamers, and several shows have already won Emmys including Netflix Squid Game and HBO/HBO Max’s euphoria and The White Lotus who will all try to increase their total tonight (see below for a list of categories up for grabs).

HBO’s successor comes into the night with the most nominations overall (25), followed by Apple TV+ Teddy Lasso and white lotus with 20 pieces, HBO Max’s Chop and Hulus Only murders in the building at 17 and HBO euphoria 16, including Zendaya, receive a nomination to defend their 2020 win.
Also tonight, the Geena Davis Institute on Gender in Media receives the Governors Award presented by the Board of Governors of Television Academy, the Emmy organizer.

John Legend will also perform “Pieces” from his new album Legend for the In Memoriam segment of the show.
The 74th Emmy Awards is produced by Done+Dusted in association with Hudlin Entertainment and directed by Hamish Hamilton.
