The Dutchman has been in impressive form lately and, as expected, goes into the final race of the season as the overwhelming favorite.
However, teammate Sergio Perez is still lurking, while Mercedes duo Lewis Hamilton and George Russell will be ready to strike after their double podium finish last time out in Barcelona.

Odds of winning the 2023 Canadian F1 Grand Prix
After his third straight win at the Spanish Grand Prix last weekend, Max Verstappen understandably goes into the 2023 Canadian Grand Prix as a huge favorite.
At -275 at BetMGM, the Dutchman is poised to win in Montreal for the second straight year, according to bookmakers.
His closest competitor is teammate Sergio Perez, who at +500 represents good value here. However, the Mexican rider struggled in Barcelona and failed to get out of the second quarter in qualifying on Saturday.
After their impressive double podium last time out, the Mercedes duo of Lewis Hamilton and George Russell head into this latest race which has been highly anticipated compared to the last few months.

While the start of this season has proved arduous for German team Mercedes, a double podium finish for teammates Lewis Hamilton and George Russell at Barcelona last weekend was a real highlight for the constructor.
That result put them ahead of Aston Martin in second place in the Constructors’ Championship and also illustrated their development over the last few races as their pace appeared to be significantly better thanks in part to a side redesign.
That’s why we’re supporting Hamilton to get another podium in Montreal this weekend. While Russell offers greater odds, Hamilton has the experience to succeed at the Canadian Grand Prix, having won that race seven times – sharing the most wins with Michael Schumacher.

Let’s start with the most likely and work our way down the list. After finishing third at Barcelona last weekend, Russell looks poised to finish in the points, especially given Mercedes’ progress in recent races.
Next up is Alpine pair Esteban Ocon and Pierre Gasly. The French team got off to a slow start this season but have been on form lately, highlighted by Ocon’s podium finish in Monaco. Additionally, Gasly has finished in the top ten in each of his last three races, and so has his teammate.
The crux of the bet lies with McLaren’s Oscar Piastri. While he has only picked up five points in his debut season so far, the young Australian has continued to push himself into the top ten in recent races. His tenth place finish in Monaco underscores his growing confidence and with a number of other drivers struggling around him lately, another top ten finish in Montreal would not come as a surprise.
