Microsoft is poised to launch its latest next-gen console, the Xbox Series S 1TB, with a new sleek look and larger storage than the existing Series S console. Recently, the tech giant unveiled this latest member of its next-gen family at Xbox Games Showcase 2023.

This announcement came as quite a surprise to fans as no one was expecting anything other than video games. In fact, this latest console has finally fixed an issue that has long worried fans. Let’s check out the Xbox Series S 1TB release date, price, availability and everything else.

What’s new in the Xbox Series S 1TB?

As the name suggests, it has 1 terabyte of storage, which is literally double the older version of the Series S. In fact, it’s a treat for those who find the 512GB Series S model in terms of storage was always not enough for their games.

The Series S 1 TB features the same modern matte finish and black color as its big brother, the Xbox Series X. In terms of design, there are no notable structural changes.

Series S 1TB: release date and availability

The console release is scheduled for September 1, 2023 with minimal chance of delay. Because the developers plan to make it available in retail before the arrival of Starfield on September 6th. As such, fans are unlikely to face availability issues or stock shortages.

Prices and pre-order

When it comes to the price of the console, it’s priced at $349.99 (about Rs.28,857.22), which is $50 more than the base Series S. Considering the additional 512GB of storage it has allow players to store more games in the system, the price seems quite reasonable.

For those who want to own it, it is already available for pre-order and can be booked directly on the official Xbox website. However, some of you might experience stock availability issues as it is still early days. However, this won’t stay that way for long as Microsoft has announced that it will start distributing this console to more retailers in different regions in the coming weeks.

That’s all for the Xbox Series S 1TB for now, and performance-wise there aren’t any hardware or performance upgrades other than more storage, of course. Therefore, this upcoming console will offer the same gaming experience as the older Series S model, which is also pretty impressive.
