Below we give you the latest news on these three wide receivers and how their injuries could affect their fantasy prospects for the season.

DOMINATE YOUR DRAFT: Ultimate 2022 Fantasy Cheat Sheet

Treylon Burk’s injury update

The Titans’ first-round pick wasn’t in practice Thursday morning, according to ESPN’s Turron Davenport. However, Burks was spotted on an exercise bike, which makes sense given that he had a bandage on his leg after the team’s last preseason game against the Buccaneers. The former Arkansas standout had a reception for four yards against Tampa Bay.

It wasn’t easy training camp for the rookie wide receiver, who had put in a stellar performance in Arkansas last season and caused a stir during the drafting process. The Titans hope Burks can eventually become the replacement for star wide receiver AJ Brown, who was traded to the Eagles on draft night.

The 23-year-old rookie is likely to start the season as the Titans’ third receiver behind Robert Woods and Nick Westbrook-Ikhine, but given his talent, he could quickly move up the depth chart. SN Fantasy ranked Burks #46 among WRs in standard and #48 in PPR formats this season. The young wideout has a lot of work to do after not doing much preseason, but he’s still a solid bank hideout to come from your draft.

Drake London injury update

ESPN’s Michael Rothstein reported Thursday that London was among the five Falcons players who were absent from the start of practice. London are sidelined with a knee injury sustained in the team’s opener against the Lions on August 12. Atlanta head coach Arthur Smith said a few days after the game that London’s injury was “not a long-term thing”. The good news for the Falcons is that we’re still a couple of weeks away from the start of the regular season, which means London still has plenty of time to be ready.

London was the first wide receiver drafted last spring and is likely to play a significant role in the Falcons’ offense. The team still has Kyle Pitts from sophomore, but they need to find a way to replace production Calvin Ridley and Russell Gage. The former USC star can be Marcus Mariota’s second option in the passing game if he’s healthy. SN Fantasy ranked 44th in London among wide receivers in Standard and 45th in PPR format. Despite his ongoing knee injury, London is still a flyer in the later rounds of fantasy drafts who could top his prize.

Injury update from Chris Godwin

Godwin didn’t practice Thursday, meaning he likely won’t play in the team’s preseason finals against the Colts. according to ESPN’s Jenna Laine. Godwin worked his way back from a right cruciate ligament rupture late last season. He’s taken a lot of steps during his recovery during training camp, which could mean his return to the field sooner rather than later. Last season, Godwin had 98 receptions (127 goals) for 1,103 yards and five touchdowns.

If Godwin misses a few games in the first month of the season, the Buccaneers can lean on new wide receivers Russell Gage and Julio Jones. Both veteran receivers will be integral to the success of the Tampa Bay passing game and give Godwin more time to get going. Last season, the former Penn State standout had five games for 100+ yards and eight games for double-digit fantasy points in standard leagues. Once he’s healthy and ready to start, don’t be surprised to see Godwin as one of the best WR2 players in fantasy football this season.
