After drawing 3-3 against Braga and beating newly promoted Rio Ave 3-0 in their first two games of the new Primeira Liga season, Sporting Lisbon have scored five points out of a possible nine this season.

In a game where João Teixeira and Andres Sarmiento both saw red for both sides, Hector Hernandez broke the deadlock in the eighth minute but handed the lead to the hosts Kevin Zohi scored five minutes before half-time to restore the equalizer.
Earlier, the men of Campelos, who defeated Moreirense 2-1 on aggregate in the final of the promotion playoffs in May, started with a 1-0 loss to Vitoria de Guimaraes in their 7.1 win at Maritimo two weeks ago.
While Chaves will look to return to winning ways, they will be hampered by an opposing side who are currently on a five-game winning streak in this game and are unbeaten in six of their last seven meetings since January 2017.
