How to Add Shazam Tracks to Your Spotify or Apple Music Playlists

You probably know by now that you can listen to your Shazams on the Shazam app, but we’re sure you’ll agree that listening to your new favorites on the streaming platform you use every day makes more sense.

Did you know you can add Shazams to your Apple Music or Spotify playlists? This article will show you how to do it, so let’s get started.

How to add your Shazam tracks to an Apple Music playlist

If you’re using an Apple device, Apple Music will automatically create a Shazam playlist called My Shazam Songs, provided you’ve synced Shazam with Apple Music. But you can also add your Shazams to your other playlists where they might fit in well.

Before proceeding, make sure you have the latest versions of the Shazam and Apple Music apps installed. Here’s how to get started once this is done:

  1. Open the Shazam app.
  2. Swipe up on the screen and tap Shazams Tab.
  3. Tap the Three point menu next to the title you want to add.
  4. Now tap Add to Apple Music. This will open your Apple Music playlists.
  5. Tap the playlist you want to add the track to.

That’s it – you can now listen to your Shazam along with similar tracks in your selected Apple Music playlist. And you can do this no matter what method you used to identify music with Shazam on your iPhone.

This method is longer than adding a track to an Apple Music playlist as there is no option for it in the Shazam app. So you have to do it in the Spotify app and there are two ways to do it.

Before we begin, make sure you connect and sync Shazam with Spotify first so you can use the two apps together. Then follow the steps below to get started.

  4. Now tap on the Three point menu next to the title, and then select Add to playlist.
  5. Find and tap the playlist you want to add the song to.

Please note that this method does not always work as it should. Sometimes Spotify will go blank after steps three or four, although you can still tap other tabs and access other categories as usual.

As with many streaming apps, you’ll want to customize your experience to find what works for you. One of the best things about Spotify is the ability to apply certain tips and tricks to get the most out of your Spotify playlists.

For example, you can make your Spotify playlists private while you create and perfect them, or discover hidden Spotify features your friends don’t know about. And that’s just the tip of the iceberg.
