How to cancel an Amazon order
(Pocket-lint) – Sometimes we make purchasing decisions we regret. It is in order. This is a judgment-free zone. Or maybe you bought something on Amazon but then found it cheaper on Best Buy.

Whatever the reason, just know that canceling an Amazon order is easy. However, there is a catch: you can only cancel physical items if they have not been included in the shipping process. So your window to cancel an order will vary. We recommend canceling it as soon as possible, otherwise you may have to wait for it to arrive and then send it back (if it’s eligible for a return). So let’s cancel your Amazon order before it’s too late.

How to cancel your Amazon order
Physical Items
If you want to cancel an order for physical items that you recently purchased from Amazon, follow these steps:
- Go to your order page.
- Select the order you want to cancel.
- Choose Cancel items.
- Choose Check box of the item you want to remove from the order. To cancel the entire order, select all items.
- Choose Cancel selected items in this order when done.
Note: After Step 3, you may see Request cancellation for seller orders. If you no longer see Request cancellation, contact the seller for further instructions. Go to Contact Third Party.
Digital orders
When you return a digital item that you have ordered, e.g. For example, if you want to cancel a subscription, this is a different process.
- Go to Your Memberships and Subscriptions page.
- Then select Manage Subscription next to the subscription you want to cancel.
- Select the link below Advanced control.
- The main subscription page opens. From there you can cancel your subscription.

Can you cancel an order through the Amazon app?
Yes, but you cannot cancel digital orders in the app. To cancel an order for physical items, follow these steps:
- Open the Amazon mobile app.
- Tap the I tab Icon (second from left in the navigation bar).
- your orders.
- Select the order you want to cancel.
- If you don’t see the item you want to cancel, tap See more items.
- Cancel items.
- Beat Cancel marked items.
Can you cancel an Amazon order after it’s shipped?
