You can set up the Gmail app to automatically create these incoming emails as events on your calendar.

Not only can you set this up for the web-based version of Google Calendar, but also for the mobile version.

The first thing you need to do is log into your Google account in your default desktop web browser and go to Gmail.

Click the gear icon at the top right of the window. If prompted, click View All Settings. In the resulting window, scroll down about halfway until you see the entry for Smart Features and Personalization. Click the check box for that feature to enable it.

Close the Gmail settings window and you are done with the web version of Gmail.

With these features enabled, any email you receive in your Gmail account that contains event details should result in that event being automatically added to your Google calendar.

If you find that this is affecting your calendar too much, you can always go back and turn it off. But if you like the convenience that this automation brings, the feature can be very handy. I’ve missed several events sent via Gmail in the past. When this feature is enabled, this no longer happens. And every time an event is automatically added from Gmail that I don’t want on my calendar, I can manually delete it. This trade-off is worth the small inconveniences that come with the convenience of automation.

Try this feature and see if it doesn’t add a little more efficiency and reliability to your mobile life.
