How to factory reset the Google Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro

Note: We’re using a Pixel 7 to show you how to reset in this article, but the same steps can be used for the Pixel 7 Pro as they both share the same software and interface.

  • The first thing you have to do is navigate settings page on your Pixel 7. The easiest way to do this is to swipe down twice from the home screen to expand the quick settings page and select the settings cog.
  • Once in, just scroll all the way down to the bottom of the settings Page to find an option with the name system. This is where you will find many of your system settings.
  • Now look for the reset options at the bottom of the page and select it to expand all your phone reset options.

  • Choose on this page Erase all data (factory reset) to initiate the factory reset process. You will now be taken to a new page with a brief summary of everything you wish to erase from your device.
  • Once you’ve checked all the information, scroll all the way down to see one Delete all data Button. Just select it to erase all your data and factory reset your Google Pixel 7.


If you have followed all the steps properly, your Google Pixel 7 will now reboot to factory settings. Your device may restart multiple times during the reset, so keep that in mind. Once the whole process is complete, your device will restart in the setup wizard.
