NFL odds Week 7: How to bet Bears-Patriots, pick

Quarterback health will be the main story when the Chicago Bears (2-4) play the New England Patriots (3-3) on Monday Night Football.

Bears starter Justin Fields injured his left shoulder again last week and said it hurt him “pretty badly.” Patriots starter Mac Jones suffered a severe ankle sprain in Week 3 but has reportedly gotten healthier and rookie Bailey Zappe has won back-to-back starts in his place.

To no one’s surprise, Patriots coach Bill Belichick hasn’t said who will start at QB. The Patriots lead the all-time streak 10-4, winning their last five games against the Bears.

Here’s everything you need to know about NFL odds for Monday night’s matchup between the Bears and Patriots – point spread, moneyline, total over/under and a pick from our Betting Expert (with all NFL odds over FOX Bet).

How many points do the bears score?

Hopefully you just said your answer out loud and it wasn’t higher than 10 or 13 points. It’s hard for me to picture the always unpredictable Justin Fields launching a big offensive attack against Bill Belichick’s defense.

Chicago is averaging 15.5 points per game — the second-worst in the NFL — and chances are Belichick Fields is showing ghosts. New England has feasted on young quarterbacks for decades, and Fields is easily confused. The Bears offensive line stinks and playmakers are few and far between.

A final score of 23-7 feels far too likely.
