How to get Genshin Impact Sumeru artifacts: Deepwood Memories & Gilded Dreams

Genshin Impact is getting two new artifact sets, Deepwood Memories and Gilded Dreams, with Sumeru’s launch. Here’s how they work, where to unlock them, and who you should use them for.

Genshin Impact version 3.0 finally marks the launch of Sumeru. While everyone’s focus is on the new region and its enemies, or perhaps the three new characters in Tighnari, Collei and Dori, the new artifact sets are nothing to scoff at.

Deepwood memories and gilded dreams are here to give players an edge when tinkering with Dendro and his reactions. Here’s what each Artifact Set does, who’s best at using them, and where to go to unlock them in Genshin Impact.

New Genshin Impact artifacts for Sumeru

Deepwood Memories

Deepwood Memories is Genshin Impact ’s first Dendro-specific artifact set – which is fitting since version 3.0 also marked the release of Tighnari and Collei.

Its 2-piece set increases Dendro DMG, while in a 4-piece set, Deepwood Memories shreds a target’s Dendro-RES after hitting them with an elemental ability or burst. This can also be triggered when the character is off the field, making it a great choice for Collei who only spends little time on the field and has a great Dendro application.

Collei’s great Dendro application makes her a prime candidate for Deepwood Memories.

Gilded Dreams

Gilded Dreams might be ready to contest some of Genshin Impact’s ironed-on supporting artifact sets like Noblesse Oblige or Emblem of Severed Fate.

The 2-piece set increases elemental mastery, which is easy enough. However, the 4-piece set for Gilded Dreams empowers allies based on their elemental type after triggering an elemental reaction.

Sharing an item with the owner will give them an ATK buff. If they don’t share an element, they gain an Elemental Mastery buff. It counts all characters in your party (both single player and co-op) to give the buffs and it can also be activated while the owner is off the field.

Any Noblesse Oblige or Emblem of Severed Fate user could probably get a lot of use out of Gilded Dreams, and you can build your comp to gain more ATK or Elemental Mastery depending on who your main DPS is. It’s a really flexible set.

How to Unlock Domain Spire of Solitary Enlightenment in Sumeru

Players can unlock the Deepwood Memories and Gilded Dreams artifacts from the Spire of Solitary Enlightenment in Genshin Impact. It’s one of the easiest locations to get to in Sumeru, and possibly one of the first waypoints you’ll unlock outside of The Chasm.

Here’s what you need to do to unlock the domain.

  1. Reach Adventure Rank 22 or higher, or complete the Archon quest Prologue: Act III – Song of the Dragon and Freedom
  2. Navigate to Sumeru and Gandha Hill, right on the edge of The Chasm.
  3. Interact with the domain carved into the mountainside.
  4. You should now have access to the Domain of Bless: Seven Senses to obtain the two artifacts, and you can freely teleport back to the domain at any time.

You must challenge the domain at a high enough level to earn guaranteed five-star artifacts from Deepwood Memories and Gilded Dreams. If you also grind for your Dendro characters, be sure to look out for the newly added Goblet core stat, Dendro DMG Boost.
