How to Get Weathered Dagger and What to do With it
elden ring is a game that doesn’t last. The players have to find out a lot themselves. This even applies to Elden Rings Key items like the Weathered Dagger which is a important item for players who want the Duskborn Ending. On the plus side, the dagger isn’t hard to get, it’s easily overlooked by players who don’t often interact with Fia the Deathbed Attendant as it’s part of her quest line.
It may take some time to get the dagger, but it’s one of the easier parts of Fia’s questline. Even for fans who don’t want the ending to Duskborn, getting the dagger can be useful for seeing certain parts of the game and its lore that wouldn’t otherwise appear. Most of what needs to be done is at hold round table.
Get the dagger
When visiting the Roundtable Hold for the first time, the player must visit Fia, whose room is located next to Hewg the Blacksmith’s work. Your hug must be accepted and the player receives the blessing of the canopy. Keeping the blessings is not required to get the dagger (it is recommended to actually get rid of it as it lowers the player character’s HP). This first hug is the beginning of Fia’s questline to the end of Duskborn.
The Tainted do not need to speak to Fia again until they reach the Altus Plateau. There are three ways to reach the area:
- By the Grand Lift of Dectus.
- Through the Ruined Chasm (requires defeating the magma wyrm behind the gorge-shrouded village and miner’s caves).
- There is a secret way to get swallowed by the Iron Maiden at the bottom of Raya Lucaria’s water wheel. It will teleport the Tainted to Volcano Manor.
Once the Altus Plateau has been found, the player must go back to the Roundtable Hold and let her hug her again for another blessing. Accept “Talk in Secret” option that appears. Fia will ask a favor and present the dagger to the Tainted.
What to do with the dagger?
Fia will say that she wants the dagger returned to its rightful owner. The greatest clue to its rightful owner is found in the description of the dagger. Gold and silver are described as being intertwined, which should remind the player of D’s armor. Talk to D and give him the dagger.
After you give him the dagger, a new room will open the next time you visit Roundtable Hold. In the new room, the next part of Fia’s quest unfolds. The dagger will no longer be important.
