The main character of the series, Ted, played by Jason Sudeikis, is an upbeat and energetic American football coach who is hired to manage a British football team. The most important thing to understand Teddy Lasso is that you don’t have to be a football fan to appreciate it. After all, the main character of the show barely understands the rules himself. That doesn’t stop the well-meaning American manager from trying to change the course of a fictional Premiership squad, however. His rather strange coaching technique is initially ridiculed before he finally begins to win over the testy and haughty players. With its fish-on-water narrative, a likable main character, and an amazing supporting cast, the show is an amazing watch.
