For 15 seasons from 2005 to 2020, audiences could enjoy the epic saga of the Winchester brothers Sam (Jared Padalecki) and dean (Jensen Ackles), in the hit TV series supernatural. When will The Winchesters premiere and how many episodes will there be?
The Winchesters will air its premiere episode on Tuesday, October 11, 2022. New episodes will air weekly after that, though it’s unclear if the series will take a mid-season break as we head into the holiday season.
The first season of The Winchesters will have a total of 13 episodes. While we do have some teasing about the main story in the trailer, it mostly remains under wraps. Luckily, the titles of the first six episodes have been revealed, and they might give us a few more clues. This is what happens to Nicholas Burkhardt (David Guntoli), a Portland homicide detective who discovers that he and his ancestors are Grimm. The Grimm are a secret lineage of hunters who defend the world from supernatural forces known as wesen.
Luckily, Nicholas doesn’t have to face these newfound duties alone. He and his partner on the force, Detective Hank Griffin (Russell Hornsby), meet an insightful being named Monroe (Silas Weir Mitchell), who acts as her guide to the Portland supernatural community. Together, the three do whatever it takes to keep the city safe and maintain the balance between these two worlds. All six seasons of the series are available to stream on Prime Video.
