Every word Klopp said about transfers

talking is over

Jürgen Klopp has now ended the conversation with the media.

The Reds boss spoke at length about changes that need to be made in the summer as the team struggles this season.

He also said changes need to be made against Crystal Palace tomorrow as some players are injured in the Real Madrid defeat. Ibrahima Konate has been training for two days but it is unclear whether he will be risked.

Make our own plans

“We have to make our own plans and we do, but it depends on how this club is run and that’s different from other clubs. So we’ll see if it works or if we have to adapt. Conversations with employees, owners and nothing else.”

“Bring Klopp back”

“Imagine the same situation with another manager? ‘Bring Klopp back’. That’s why I signed a new contract. It’s too long for me (before transfers). I don’t like to talk about it all the time, but I have to think about it all the time. I can’t help it.”

Klopp’s conversion

“It’s one of the reasons why I signed a new contract [to build new team]. Last season wasn’t one for big changes. If you want a big change, you can’t make a lot of changes at this club and find that no one wants to leave.”

Tricky transfer window

“We’re all influenced by things lately, but we’re not that stupid. It’s clear this team has a wonderful history and the way this club is run doesn’t inject money, our transfers must always be spot on. That makes it difficult. I knew that.”

Real Madrid quality

“I don’t know many teams who took advantage of our mistakes like Real Madrid did. Or Vini Jr. or Benzema. Now we’re playing Palace.”

no more kids

“Not all of them are kids anymore. They know how to deal with it. It’s not their first setback. In a difficult season in the Premier League, we have to turn around and turn the corner. We have to follow everyone. They have to. ” smell our breath.”

Try to help the players

“I’m trying to help players as much as I can, but I can’t turn off social media for them! Or the media.”

Emotions after Real Madrid

“I see the players and I tell them how I feel, but I don’t ask them individually. When things are going well, it’s about the players. When things aren’t going well, it’s about me. It’s my job, for that to make sure they hear me and believe me.”

Klopp wants stability

“There are many good things, but we are not stable yet. We have to work on this stability.”

Growing Confidence

“Nobody gives you confidence, you have to let it happen. There are many reasons why the boys should be [confident]. If you can cross out some things, you have the right to focus on the good things and move on from there.”

Klopp admits he was involved in a car accident

“Everything in life affects confidence. Recently I scratched my car and now I’m very careful around every corner!”

Three on the front

“It’s not difficult, we have too many games to make it difficult. We have too many games to keep it the same. It’s good. It’s helpful but we have to make changes. Every minute they come together playing is helpful as it improves understanding.”

About the partnership between Nunez and Salah

“The goals against Newcastle were team goals but we have to make changes, we can’t change that. Every minute they can play together is helpful as it improves understanding.”

Super difficult games

“I’ve heard we have a good record at Selhurst but it’s always difficult. As it’s Saturday night I hope a lot of people go out in London and not into the stadium! But it’s a great place, they have some interesting ones young players. A cool club. I only remember super difficult games.”

Consistency required

“We have to find some consistency in the way we play. It can’t just be about emotions… We just have to believe in ourselves again and bring our quality to the pitch. We have to be incredible, uncomfortable opponents tomorrow.” play for Crystal Palace”

Importance of the Champions League

“European football… it’s Liverpool! Nobody asks me if we can make it to the Europa League, it’s incredibly important that we qualify.” [for CL]. It’s always so important and this year it will be decided later if we can do it. We need points for that.”

Real Madrid positives

“There was also a lot of good stuff (against Real Madrid) that I hadn’t seen in a long time.”

Summer transfer window

“I’m not saying what everyone around us is saying is wrong, but a lot of it isn’t right either. It’s clear that we have to do something in the summer, that’s clear.”

changes are made

“Ibou is only 2 training sessions close after a long injury. You can see when the guys come that they are not at their best yet (Jota and Firmino). We have to make changes and we will. It’s not like that that you come back from a long injury and it’s working normally again, so does Virgil.”

Klopp’s honesty

“All games from here are now Champions League qualifiers.”

Praise from Crystal Palace

“We shouldn’t already include Wolves’ game or take into account the three points we already have in the bag. In terms of Palace’s performance, things are looking much better. Really talented team. Lots of technique and speed on the pitch. I respect it very much.”

The worst beginning

“The second half got the worst start for us. What I saw was a lot of things are back but not stable yet. It was a night that didn’t help but we have to work with that. We’re preparing two today Days and again before . Hopefully we’ll learn the right things.”

First half really good

“It’s not like you can work on a lot of things between Wed-Sat. When you lose a game like that, there’s no point in reading or hearing what people say. But the first half was a really good half . Lots of things are back but not stable – that’s why we conceded the goals.”

Unacceptable

“We looked back at the game, no time to see it with the players. The same goes for training, not using a lot of time. I don’t read much, but when you lose like that, there’s no point in listening 5 in the CL- A home game is not acceptable, I know that.”

A chance to set things right
