One of the most popular instant messaging platforms of all time, WhatsApp is used by billions worldwide. Recently, many WhatsApp users using the beta version of the app on Android encountered an issue where the app displayed an error message stating that the version they were using was “out of date”.

This caused problems for those affected because they were unable to use the app for a long time. Some tried to fix the problem by changing their system date to a past day, but unfortunately it didn’t seem to help. It seems like the app developers quickly noticed the problem and released a new version of WhatsApp Beta for Android (v2.23.7.14) to fix the problem.

If you’re getting an “out of date” error message on WhatsApp, make sure to update the app to the latest version as it will fix the issue. Alternatively, users can opt out of the beta and revert to the regular version of the app if the updated version doesn’t work for them. However, you may lose access to some new features that may only be available to users in the beta version of the app.

For the uninitiated, WhatsApp sets an expiration date for each version of the app, so users always end up using a current and updated version of the app. These updates may also include bug fixes, new features, and important security updates.
